Dr. Lynne Hoban

Dr. Lynne Hoban was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in 1982. She then graduated in 1986 from Virginia Maryland Regional with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She has practiced in several states, including Maryland, Texas, California and Arizona.

Most recently she was on the staff as a general practitioner of a small animal practice in North Scottsdale named Horizon Animal Hospital. Before working at Horizon she worked at Mesa Veterinary Hospital as a general practitioner. Her areas of special interest include endocrinology, internal medicine and ophthalmology. In March 2005 she started her own practice, Friendship Pet Hospital, in Fountain Hills.

She is married to Dr. William Stevens, a military physician, and they have a 15 year old son named Jonathan. She owns a German Shepherds Dog, a Rottweiller and an 18 year old Persian cat named Suzy. Her interests outside of veterinary medicine are the competing in the German dog sport of Schutzhund with Max and gardening.

Dr. Candice Emerson

Dr. Candice Emerson grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. She always had a love for animals and the outdoors and volunteered for several years at Liberty Wildlife helping rehabilitate and release native wildlife. She graduated with honors from Arizona State University with a degree in Wildlife Conservation Biology. After that, she attended veterinary school at Colorado State University, focusing on small animal medicine and surgery. She has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Scottsdale area since 2003 with a strong interest in soft tissue surgery and dermatology. She currently has two Chihuahuas that are both rescues; Flower an older female that was born blind, and Bullet a young male that was found by a dumpster when he was a little over a month old. Dr. Emerson has re-married and now has three boys. She spends most of her free time attending Little League games, hiking, and reading.

Darlene Jannett, Office Manager

Darlene was born and raised in Southern California. She moved to Arizona in 1992 with her husband and two children. She started working at Mesa Veterinary Hospital in 1997 as an inventory assistant/veterinary assistant. In 2003 she became the inventory manager. She started working part time at Friendship Pet Hospital in 2005. She then became the office manager in 2006. She has 2 dogs, 1 cats, and a desert tortoise.

Amaris, Receptionist

Hello Friends! I am Amaris the receptionist at Friendship Pet Hospital. I am 27 years old and I live in Mesa with my beautiful 8yr old daughter Taylor. I was born and raised in Arizona,it’s to cold anywhere else. Most of my free time is spent with my daughter and we do a lot of volunteer work. I have a Therapy certified Mini Horse named Peanut and a therapy certified dog named Nuche. We visit Hospitals,Hospices and care centers around the east valley. I also run a therapeutic riding program for Veterans and their families. My goal in that is to help the men and women who have so bravely served out country manage their P.T.S.D. I also have a little program that takes bagged meals out to the homeless of the Phoenix and Mesa areas. I am so blessed to be working at a facility that is absolutely with a wonderful staff who I love as much as family. The women I work with have quickly become my closest friends. Wendy Marquéz

My name is Wendy Marquéz. I was born and raised in Northern AZ. I have 2 dogs named Lexie a chihuahua and Bella who is a yorkie and poodle mix. I have been working in the veterinary field for about three years and love it. My current hobbies are to play with my dogs and watch horror movies with my husband Luis.

Diane Holmes

I first worked in animal rescue and veterinary medicine when I lived in upstate NY, which is where I was born and raised. I volunteered there w/ Animal Care Council. I worked as a vet tech and it coincided well w/ my rescue activities. We did a lot of cat rescue and I took many of them home! I moved to Arizona in 2005 and fell in love with it. My husband and I currently have 3 domestic cats, and 3 dogs,(2 dachshunds and a terrier mix). I started working at Friendship Pet Hospital in November of this year.
